Setting up accounting for France
The principles of SyteLine accounting are based on the adoption of a general chart of
accounts (PCG) and an analytical chart of accounts (PCA). In a French system, these two charts
of accounts complement each other to provide a comprehensive accounting view of the
      company.
As an example, these types of SyteLine processes use the general chart of accounts and these journals:
| Process | Journal |
|---|---|
| Accounts payable | AP Dist |
| Accounts receivable | AR Dist |
| Bank revaluation | BNK Dist |
| Fixed asset amortization | FA Dist |
| Manual journal entries | General |
| Multi-site entries | Multi-Site |
As an example, these types of SyteLine processes use the analytical chart of accounts and these journals:
| Process | Journal |
|---|---|
| Customer orders | CO Dist |
| Purchase orders | PO Dist |
| Inventory control | IC Dist |
If users make changes to the Chart of Accounts after it it is initially configured, the changes must be logged for later auditing. See About the JET report.
