Updating Ledger Dimension Attribute Values
After journal transactions are posted to the ledger, the General Ledger Attributes Update form is used to update
dimension attribute values for ledger transactions. You can choose to include analysis
attribute values in the update. You can also choose to overwrite existing data, so stored
attribute values are updated, if necessary.
Normally, the General Ledger Attributes Update utility is run as a background task; however, if you make an attribute change, for example to a company name, you can run the utility manually.
Also, the G/L Posted Transactions form can be used to update just dimension analysis attribute values.
