Portal Administrator Home - Navigator Tab

The Navigator tab on the Portal Administrator Home form includes the fields and sub-tabs described here.

Fields

Start Date and End Date: Specify a date range to change the data displayed on the sub-tabs of the Navigator tab and on the Key Stats and Event Activity sections of the Dashboard tab. By default, the system date is used in each field.

Application: Specify a portal to change the portal for which data is displayed.

The default value is Customer Portal.

Note: On the classic form, the field is blank by default, which allows data for all active portals to be displayed.

Show: Click this button to show data based on the specified values in the Start Date, End Date, and Application fields. This button is only available on the Portal Administrator Home Classic form.

Sub-tabs

Pending Approval: Use this tab to see all portal-related Inbox messages that are waiting for an approval or response, and to assign a message to a different user if necessary.

Note: An Inbox message is considered to be pending for approval if there are choices on the message with no selected choice, and if the Expires After date is later than the current (system) date and time.

The left-side grid provides a summary view of all users who have pending messages and how many messages are waiting for each. When you select a user, the right-side grid provides detail of all pending messages for that user. This information is provided for each pending message:

  • From: The user ID of the individual who sent the message.
  • Expires After: For messages that request an approval or response, this field indicates the date and time after which the message expires. After the date and time specified, the system no longer accepts responses.
  • Ref Num: A reference number for the message. If the message is generated from a Customer Portal or Reseller Portal event, the reference number will be the customer number. If the message is generated from a Vendor Portal event, the reference number will be the vendor number.
  • Name: The name of the person who submitted the message. If the message is generated from a Customer Portal or Reseller Portal event, the name will be the customer name. If the message is generated from a Vendor Portal event, the name will be the vendor name.
  • Category: The category specified in the message. Because these are all portal-related messages, they will all have a category ending with "Portal".
  • To: The user to whom the message was sent.
  • Sent: The date and time the message was sent.
  • Read: This field indicates whether or not the message has been read.
  • Subject: The subject of the message, as specified by the individual sending the message.
  • Message: The body text of the message.
  • Question: A question associated with a message for which a response is requested.
  • Update User ID: You can use this field to assign the message to a different user. This moves the message from the original user's Inbox to the new user's Inbox. However, the To field does not change; it still has the user ID of the original message recipient.

Expired Messages: This tab displays messages that have expired because the recipient user did not respond on or before the Expires After date. The left-side grid provides a summary view of all users who have expired messages and how many messages are expired. When you select a user, the right-side grid provides detail of all expired messages for that user. Detail fields are described above.

Event Activity: This tab displays portal event activity for the date range and application specified at the top of the Navigator tab.

Note: In order to see event activity on this tab, you must set the Keep Successful Event States flag to 1 on the Process Defaults form. This setting can quickly impact performance based on the number of events you activate in SyteLine and the number of executions of those events. Generally this setting should be used only temporarily.

Multi-User Inbox: This tab displays all portal-related Inbox messages, for portal and SyteLine users, on a single form. This is different from a portal Inbox page or the SyteLine Inbox form, where the logged-in user can see Inbox messages for only his or her user ID.

Failed Events: This tab displays portal-related events that have failed. The date range specified on the Navigator tab is used to filter failed events.
