System Administrator Home - Navigator Tab

This table shows the tabs available on the Navigator tab.

Tab Description
User Permissions Shows the privileges assigned to each user or form combination
User Modules Shows the modules that each user has permission to access
Unanswered Messages Shows all unanswered messages in the event system inbox
Background Task Management Shows essential information about all current and active background tasks

For a complete record of each task, view the Active Background Tasks form.

DB Statistics Shows the number of rows in each SyteLine table and other database statistics

In the Update Statistics and Rebuild Indexes fields, you can see different icons. See the table for these fields' icons.
Background Task Analysis Shows a list of all SyteLine tasks in the BGTaskHistory table and the information about task execution

The main grid shows the Background Task History information summarized by the task name. The information includes the number of times the task was successfully executed, the duration of the task, and delays during the execution.

  • Successful Run Count is the number of records with a completion date, where the error message is blank.
  • Duration is the time in seconds between the start and completion dates.
  • Delay is the time in seconds between the submission and start dates.

On the classic form, use the start or end dates to limit the list of tasks. Select the Show Detail check box to display additional information about the task selected in the Detail grid.

The Detail grid shows the Background Task History records for the currently selected task in the main grid.

Update Statistics and Rebuild Indexes icons

This table shows the icons to display in the Update Statistics and Rebuild Indexes column.

Green check Shows if the change in table size is less than 10% and the statistics were updated less than 14 days ago Shows if fragmentation is less than 5%
Yellow caution Shows if the change in table size is greater than or equal to 10% and the statistics were updated more than 14 days ago and less than 30 days ago Shows if fragmentation is between 5% and 30%
Red exclamation point Shows if the change in table size is greater than or equal to and the statistics were updated more than 30 days ago. Shows if fragmentation is greater than 30%
