About form adoption

Form Adoption is used to set the gen2 forms as the default forms that hides classic and web forms. Form Adoption has form aliasing functionality which is used to update the right-click menu options and links to the gen2 forms. The changes that you select on this form apply only to the current site. You can enable or disable these settings at any time.

You can also disable the What’s New form to run automatically for all users. To disable, select the Disable What’s New Form check box.

In the Processes section, you can see the list of gen2 forms. The forms are grouped by process. On each process header, you can see the number of forms you can adopt. Click the Expand/Collapse Process button to show the list of forms. Optionally, you can use the Search field to find specific forms. This field filters each process with the results.

To set a gen2 form as a default form, select the Adopt check box. If the selected form has a related form, this option enables adoption of the related form. You can also select the Adopt All Forms check box to enable adoption of all forms of the specific section.

For the changes to take effect, select Form > Sign Out then sign in again. When you select Form > Open, the gen2 forms are displayed and the classic and web forms are hidden.

The classic and web forms are added to the Hidden In Forms List form. To access the hidden forms, perform any of these actions:
  • On the Hidden In Forms List form, manually remove the forms.
  • On the View > User Preferences > Behavior tab, select Show All Forms in Forms List check box.
