Setting up the Vertex O Series

When you install the SyteLine Application & Web role on a server, these tax integration web services are installed on the server:

  • http(s)://servername/TaxIntegrationService for the live system
  • http(s)://servername/TaxIntegrationServiceDev for the test system

If you have connection issues, confirm with Vertex that the default URL found in the web.config file of each web service matches what they expect.

To set up the Vertex Indirect Tax O Series with SyteLine, follow these steps:

  1. Install the Vertex O Series according to the instructions provided with the product.
  2. Check the License Management form to verify that your license includes the TaxInterface module.
  3. Enable the TaxInterface module in the Optional Modules form.
  4. Open the Tax Interface Parameters form in the Tax Interface menu of the Explorer. On the General tab, specify this information:
    Tax System
    Specify Vertex O.
    Company Code
    Specify the company code that you use in Vertex for this site.

    Note: On the Vertex O Parameters tab, in the URL field, you must specify the web address of the Tax Interface Web Service, for example http://servername/TaxIntegrationService.
