Offline data

The amount of data that is synchronized is partially configurable, allowing you to better control the balance between the amount of data that is transferred, stored, and available to the technician while offline.

Data that is available offline is divided into two primary categories:

  • Transactional data: This is dynamic data that is based on the appointments, incidents, and service orders that are assigned to the partner, along with supporting data, such as service order transactions. For these data elements, the filtering is based on this information:
    • Incident, appointments, and service orders assigned to the partner associated with the user currently logged into the mobile device.
    • Incidents, appointments, and service orders that are associated with customer and unit master data that fall within the Days Of History value specified on the Settings form.
  • Master data: This is general data that is used across the system and is more static in nature, such as customers, partners, items, and codes. This data is available for new transactions created offline. Master data filtering is handled by the Customer Filter, Item Filter, and Unit Filter fields on the Settings form.
