Resolving a synchronization conflict

  1. Open the Sync Conflicts form from the Main menu or the Sync Conflicts message on the Home page.

    All existing conflicts are listed and grouped by the primary data element that has an error.

  2. Tap the conflict that you want to address to open the Conflict Detail form.
  3. On iOS devices, swipe left on the fields to view the options for correcting the error. On Android devices, use a long press on the fields.
    The resolution options are based on the type of conflict:
    • Data conflict: This type of conflict occurs when there is a data discrepancy, for example, the same field is changed in both the back office and mobile device. Select one of these resolution types:
      • Use Local Value: Select this option to override the back office value with the value from the mobile device.
      • Use Host Value: Select this option to clear the local changes and download the back office values to the local device.
    • Error conflict: This type of conflict occurs when there is a data validation error. Select one of these resolution types:
      • Correct Local: Select this option to open the form with the error where you can update the field and re-save.
      • Revert Local: Select this option to clear the local changes and download the back-office values to the local device.
  4. To use the same resolution for all conflicts, swipe left on the top card to correct the object as a whole.
