Contact

On the Sales Contacts form, enter the number to use for identifying this sales contact person. The contact number is then used to identify this contact's records throughout the system. If you do not specify a number here, the system assigns the next unique contact number available when you save the record.

Note:  If you specify a number and the number contains a special character that is the same as the current default wildcard character, you must change the wildcard character. Refer to Using Wildcard Characters for additional information.

On other forms, if a customer or prospect is specified, you select a contact from their cross-reference contact list; otherwise you select a contact from the master sales contacts list.

Note:  If you do not see the contact you expect to see in the list, it is because the contact was not cross referenced on the Sales Contacts form. After you create a sales contact, in order to see the contact here, you must click either the Customers X-Ref button or the Prospects X-Ref button on the Sales Contacts form; that will open either the Customer Sales Contact Cross References form or the Prospect Sales Contact Cross References form respectively. Use those forms to add the cross reference so you can see the contact in the Contact field on the Sales Contacts form.
