Customer

On the Estimate Projects and Projects forms, specify the customer number associated with the project.

A customer number is not required for internal projects, but a customer number is required for project invoice milestone posting. If a customer number is not used, the project type must be non-billable.

After you specify the customer number, the system displays the customer name and address.

If the Show in Drop-Down Lists check box on the Customers form is cleared for a customer record, that record does not display in this field. However, you can manually enter the customer record.

If the customer is on credit hold, a problem indicator is displayed next to the Customer field on the Estimate Projects and Projects forms. If the customer is not on credit hold, a check mark is displayed. Within the Projects module, the credit hold function is for reference purposes only. You can set up and process a project for a customer on credit hold.

On all other Projects module forms, the customer number defined on the Estimate Projects or Projects form is displayed.
