Budget Unit Cost/Units/Cost
On the Project Tasks, Estimate Project Tasks, Estimate Project Resources, and Project Resources forms, different Budget fields are enabled depending on the cost code you have chosen. The fields are:
- Budget Unit Cost: Enter the budget amount for the unit cost. This amount is multiplied by the amount in the Budget Units field. The calculated cost then displays in the Budget field.
- Budget Units: Enter the budget amount for units. This amount is multiplied by the budget unit cost. The calculated cost then displays in the Budget field.
- Budget/Budget Cost: Enter the budget amount for cost. This field appears on the % Complete tab and the % Complete Details tab of the Projects, Project Tasks, and Project Resources forms. On the % Complete tab, the budget amount is for the cost code for that project, task, or resource. On the % Complete Details tab, the budget is broken down into cost codes and months (monthly periods). This field is for reference only and is not accessed by other parts of the system.
Note: The three fields
listed above are found on the % Complete tab
of the Project Tasks, Estimate
Project Tasks, Estimate Project Resources,
and Project Resources forms. On the % Complete Details tab of the Projects,
Project Tasks, and Project
Resources forms, the Budget Unit Cost
and Budget Units fields do not appear.
On the % Complete tab of the Work Breakdown Structure form, the Budget field displays the budget for the WBS organized by cost code.
