Vendor Item

Enter the number used by the vendor to identify the item. When the Item field is left blank, you may enter a value in the Vend Item field. The corresponding part number from the Items form is then placed into the Item field.

Note: If the Show in Drop-Down Lists check box on the Items form is cleared for an item, it will not display in this field. However, you may manually enter the item without causing an error.

This field is used to maintain a relationship between the Item record and the vendor's item number.
