Setting up Process Manufacturing parameters

Use the Process Manufacturing Parameters to define the base weight and volume unit of measures that will be used in the formulas at the current site. Generally, these base U/Ms are set to either LB and GA, or KG and LI.

During formula and process calculations, every U/M in the application is converted into either the base weight U/M or the base volume U/M. Each formula specifies its own density.

  1. Specify this information:
Note: Units of measure must be defined with a U/M Family on the Unit of Measure Codes form before they can be selected from these drop-down fields.
    Base Weight U/M
Specify the unit of measure to use as the basis for the weight calculations used in formulas in this site. The other weight U/Ms that are used in calculations must be able to convert to this U/M.
    Base Volume U/M
Specify the unit of measure to use as the basis for the volume calculations used in formulas in this site. The other volume U/Ms that are used in calculations must be able to convert to this U/M.
    Use WIP Moves
Select this field if moving WIP materials between warehouses is allowed. If this field is selected, all operations must be completed when you click Receive in the Process Manufacturing Production Batch Workbench.
  2. Save your changes.
