Setting up user access to the Process Manufacturing forms and fields

Process Manufacturing forms, fields and IDOs are included in the Process_Mfg license module.

On-premise only: To access them, users must be assigned to that license module.

The Process_Mfg module must be enabled in the Optional Modules form.

In addition, users must be assigned to the appropriate permission groups. Use the Groups form to grant or deny permissions for certain users or groups to perform certain Process Manufacturing tasks. For example, you might include user Bob in the Process Mfg group so that Bob can access the Process Manufacturing forms, but deny him permission to approve a formula for use in production.

To add users to the appropriate groups:

  1. In the Groups form, add users to these predefined groups, as appropriate:
    Group Description
    Process Mfg Members can access all of the Process Manufacturing forms.
    Process Mfg Approve Formula Members can approve Process Manufacturing formulas.
    Process Mfg Approve Spec Members can approve Process Manufacturing specifications.
    Process Mfg Effective Dates Members can set effective start and end dates for Process Manufacturing specifications.
    Process Mfg Close Batch Members can close Process Manufacturing production batches.
    Process Mfg Re-Open Batch Members can reopen Process Manufacturing production batches.
    Mfg Formula Sync Job Members will see an enabled Update WIP Cost BOM button on the Process Manufacturing Formulas form and are prompted to sync the job or formula lines.
