Tax ID format

Each country has a specific format for tax identification numbers. Countries in the same region, such as the European Union (EU), may have similar formats.

Poland specifics

This requirement is known in Polish as 'Numer Identyfikacji Podatkowej'.

The prefix PL is used for the EU, but excluded domestically.

The number format consists of 10 digits, the last one being a check digit. For convenience the digits are separated by hyphens (xxx-xxx-xx-xx or xxx-xx-xx-xxx for legal persons), but formally the number consists only of digits.

How Infor meets this requirement

Tax identification numbers can be specified for the company and its customers and vendors. You can specify tax identifiers using alphanumeric characters. However, masking is not available for the tax ID fields.

Application Setup or Actions
ERP Tax information is set up for the company during the general configuration. See General configuration of the application for Poland.

Then set up customer and vendor tax IDs on the Customers, Customer Ship-Tos and Vendors forms, as described in the general configuration topic.
