Tax Authority

Specify a code to identify the taxing authority for this tax code. There are three codes, only two of which may be entered. They are:

• Federal - A Federal tax authority indicates the tax code entry is for the federal government. This option is automatically displayed when the Fed tax code is displayed.
• State - A state tax authority indicates the tax code entry is for the state government. A state tax code may be maintained for every state in the United States.
• City - A city tax authority indicates the tax code entry is for the city government. Multiple city codes may be maintained.
