Regular Rate

Specify the regular hourly rate paid to this employee. This information is used to calculate the payroll for this employee. Entry in this field is necessary if the Employee Type is Hourly.

If the Employee Type is Salary, or is changed to Salary, this Reg Rate field is automatically calculated using the Salary amount and the Pay Freq.

This field cannot be overwritten for non-salaried employees if a record exists for the employee on the Employee Salary form. In that case, you must update the employee's salary on the Employee Salary form, update the OT and DT rates on the Employees form, and then run the Employee Salary Update utility. That utility automatically updates the Reg Rate field on the Employees form.
