Reason

Enter the absence reason code. The special absence codes recognized by the SyteLine Payroll module are:

• H - Holiday
• S - Sick
• V - Vacation

You must create these codes on the Absence Reasons form before they can be specified on the Attendance form. When generating payroll, employees with absence codes using these values will be placed into the corresponding Payroll Log Hour type.

Any other absence reason codes will be placed in the "Other" type during Payroll Generation. Examples of some "Other" absence reasons you can create are:

• DF - Death in the Family
• EO - Excused Absence
• JD - Jury Duty
• LEA - Leave of Absence
• SC - Sickness - Child
• X - Unexcused Absence
