Job Labor Allocation

The field is enabled only when the Generic Payroll interface is selected in the External Payroll Software field.

Option Description
Work Center Dept. When payroll is generated for a job transaction, labor is posted to the work center associated with the job operation.
Employee Dept. When payroll is generated for a job transaction, labor is posted to the employee's home department.

The department is included in payroll information exported to the Generic Payroll interface.

The Job Labor Allocation setting affects only job labor transactions. In non-job transactions, such as those for time and attendance, the system uses the department in the employee master record.
