Enabling cache
When caching is enabled, the Excel GL functions look for data in the cache prior to searching the database. Data is retrieved from the database only when no data is found in the cache. The data is then added to the cache for future use.

You can enable the caching feature in two ways:
- Select Enable Caching on the General tab of the SyteLine GL Setup window. This way enables caching every time you work with GL functions.
- Select
Three Caching options are available:
- Populate All populates all open Workbooks
- Populate Active Worksheet
- Populate Active Workbook
from the menu. This option generates cache much
faster than individual function caching. It consolidates a number of GL
functions as a batch and retrieves the data from the database. This reduces the
number of round-trips to the database, improving performance.
