Refreshing the IDO metadata cache for a server farm

When you develop applications in a multi-tenant cloud environment, ensure that you periodically refresh the IDO metadata cache as it is in an on-premises environment.

1. Verify that you have the server farm set up with the Land Lord or Tenant Management Service (TMS) and the site configurations.
   Note: The configuration must be set up on the Configurations tab of the Configuration Manager.
2. Open the Refresh Farm Metadata form.
3. Select if the refresh applies to the current configuration only or to all configurations of the current tenant.
4. To unload and restart the application domain and reload the shared custom assemblies, select Refresh shared extension class assemblies.
5. Click Refresh Farm IDO Metadata.

The system contacts each configuration of the current tenant and proceeds to unload and replace the IDO metadata for the configuration.
