Note: This topic is for the creation of Flex
forms in Design Mode in the Windows client. For the procedure to create these forms in
Web Designer in the web client, see Creating a Flex form
(Web Designer).
With no forms open, go into Design Mode.
Launch the Form
Wizard.
In the first page of the wizard, select the Create a new
form option, and then click Next.
In the next page, complete these required fields:
Name
Provide the name for the new form. Form names must be
unique.
Form Type
From the drop-down list, select Flex.
Data Source
From the drop-down list, select an IDO to return the
primary collection.
Optionally, specify a default Device
Type, a Query Form, and
any Comments.
Comments are stored
with the form definition and do not appear anywhere on the actual form.
Click Next.
In the next page of the wizard, specify this information:
Layout
Specify Basic from the
list.
Unit
Specify char or
pixel from the list. The selected unit is
permanent.
Optionally, specify any Comments.
Comments are stored with the form definition and do
not appear anywhere on the actual form.
Click Next.
Optionally, to create a template from the new form, select the Save
Template option.
Click Finish.
Your application then creates the form and displays a rough-draft version
in Design Mode.
