Viewing application events associated with an IDO or a task
Application events are associated with an IDO or a background task
through the Applies To Objects
field. To view the application events that are related to an IDO or a task, see the Workflow Summary tab or section on the
IDOs form and the Background
Task Definitions form.
The Workflow Summary tab contains
this information:
- The list of application events for a specific IDO or task
- The corresponding number of event handlers for an application event
When you select an event name on this tab, the Event Handlers form displays. This form contains a list of event handlers for the specified application event. The list is filtered based on the Applies To Objects field value.
The Applies To Objects field value can be blank, except for framework IDO events. A blank value means that an application event is applicable to every single background task. In this case, an Event Handler Count in each of the background tasks is specified on the Workflow Summary tab.
Note: Application events display on the
Workflow Summary tab only if they
are one of these types:
- Defined as a Framework IDO Event on the Events form
- TaskOnPerform
- TaskPostPerform
- TaskOnPerformFailed
For example, on the IDOs form,
select . On the Workflow Summary tab, you can see the
IdoOnItemUpdate event and the
event handlers count of 2. When you click the
IdoOnItemUpdate hyperlink, you
can view and modify the list of event handlers that are associated with the application event.
