Suspend

This option behaves differently, depending on which form you are using it on:

  • On the Event Handlers form, when selected, this option causes the update request to be suspended pending the satisfaction of criteria defined by the event handler.

Selection of this option is subject to the rules and restrictions listed in this table:

If... And... Then this check box is...
This event handler includes any adjourning event actions The event is a suspendable framework IDO event Enabled
This event handler includes any adjourning event actions The event is not a suspendable framework IDO event Cleared and disabled
This event handler includes no adjourning event actions The Synchronous check box is selected and the event is a suspendable framework IDO event Enabled
This event handler includes no adjourning event actions The Synchronous check box is cleared or the event is not a suspendable framework IDO event Cleared and disabled

    See Suspendable Framework IDO Event.

If this check box is selected:

    • The Applies to Objects field must contain references to at least one IDO.
    • All IDOs in the Applies to Objects field must have an InWorkflow property.

  • On the Event Handler Revisions form, this field is read-only and indicates whether an update request is suspended if the criteria defined by the event handler is satisfied.
