Creating an IDM document type

Open the File Servers
form.

Select an Infor Document Management type server from the server
list.

Select the Infor Document
Management tab.

Click Configure IDM.

On the Document Type
panel of the IDM Configuration form,
specify this information:
- ID
- Specify a name that describes the document
type, for example MG_IDMReportServer, MGIDMServer.
- Document Type
- Specify a name for the document type, for
example MG IDM Report Server, MG IDM Server.
- Default ACL
- Specify the default Access Control List for
the document type.

On the Document Attributes panel, specify these
information:
- Name
- Specify a name for the document attribute, for example PO
Number, Inventory Number.
- ID
- Specify a name that describes the document attribute, for
example po_num, inv_num.
- Type
- Specify the attribute type.
- Size
- Specify the attribute size.
- Multi Value
- If the attribute contains multiple values, select this
option.

On the Access Control
List panel, specify this information:
- Name
- Specify a name that describes the Access
Control List.
- Description
- Specify a description for the Access
Control List.
- Default ACL
- To set the Access Control List as default,
select this option.
- Roles
- Specify a name that describes the
roles.
- Read
- To limit a role to reading only an IDM,
select this option.
- Update
- To allow role to update an IDM, select this
option.
- Create
- To allow role to create new IDM, select
this option.
- Delete
- To allow role to delete an IDM, select this
option.
- Check In
- To allow role to check in an IDM, select
this option.
- Check Out
- To allow role to check out an IDM, select
this option.
- Change ACL
- To allow role to change an ACL, select this
option.
- Force Undo Check Out
- To enable force undo on IDM check out,
select this option..
- Edit Secure Attributes
- To allow role to edit secure attributes,
select this option.
- Archive
- To allow role to archive an IDM, select
this option..

Click Import.
