About clients

The user client is where the user interacts with the application data and can customize forms.

• The web client renders forms in browsers and can run on multiple platforms and devices.
• The Windows ("Smart") client connects to the Application Server and resides on its own machine.

  Users can get the URLs from the administrator. These URLs are set up on the Application Server when your application is installed.

  Note: The Windows client is in the process of being deprecated. We recommend that all users transition to the web client as soon as is practicable.
