Refreshing the BOD metadata cache for a server farm
When you develop applications in a multi-tenant cloud environment, ensure that you
periodically refresh the BOD metadata cache. Although technically not a requirement,
this practice helps keep a build-up of BOD metadata in the cache from impairing system
performance.
- Open the Refresh Farm Metadata form.
- Select if the refresh applies to the current configuration only or to all configurations of the current tenant.
- Click Refresh farm BOD Metadata.
This action sets the refresh date in the local configuration
database and clears the cached BOD metadata.
Note: Depending on the
internal polling cycles on the servers in the farm, this action might take a few
minutes to complete. And after you receive a success message, wait for another three
minutes before you proceed.
