Setting up a development environment
To synchronize customizations made at or scope type, with customizations in the production environment, you must set up a development environment separate from the production environment.
We recommend that you make a copy of your production forms database and use that copy to create a Source configuration for developers to use. Developers can make changes in this new development environment and test their changes safely, without disrupting business operations in the production forms database.
To make customizations at the or level, developers must have editing permissions.
When you synchronize objects customized at or scope type with objects in the production environment, specify these configurations:
- Set the development configuration as the Source configuration.
- Set the production configuration as the Target configuration.
