Recording and replaying synchronization prompts

If you do not want to deal with prompts during the synchronization process, FormSync can record all prompts for replay later. In this case, prompts are not displayed during synchronization. Instead, FormSync collects and stores information about customizations that cannot be handled automatically. After the synchronization process is finished, you can preview the prompts before you replay them.

Note: Synchronization is not complete until you replay and respond to each deferred prompt.

Recording prompts

To have prompts recorded for replay, select Log prompts for replay later in the FormSync main window.

Previewing prompts

To preview prompts before you replay them, perform this procedure in the FormSync main window:

  1. From the File menu, select Log > View.
  2. Select the Prompts check box.
  3. Clear the other check boxes.
  4. Click Refresh.
  5. Review the prompts in the message grid.

Replaying prompts

To replay FormSync prompts, from the File menu, select Log > Replay. Then respond to each deferred prompt.
