The BOD Information table collects certain BOD data from incoming BODs. This data
constantly builds up and, over time, could cause performance issues. For this reason,
system administrators should periodically purge information from that table. This can be
done using an automated process or using this manual procedure.
-
Open the Purge BOD Information form.
-
In the Through Date field, specify
the most recent date for which to purge information
This is typically not the current date, but a date that is several days prior.
-
Optionally, to have the system automatically increment the date when a purge is
performed, select the Increment Date
option.
This option is not normally used or needed for manual purges. The
Increment Date
option is intended primarily for use in automated purges.
For
example, if you were to put in a date that is 16 days ago and select the
Increment
Date option and run it in the background as a daily task,
then every day, the system would run with that parameter recalculated as 16
days before the current date (effectively purging data for only the single
day that was 16 days previous).
-
Click Process.
-
When prompted, click Yes.
Any BOD data in the BOD Information table that precedes the specified date is removed from the
table.
