Basic component settings
Common Content settings
In addition to the setting to Show Error, each basic component in App Builder (except for the Flexbox) has at least one additional setting that can be made with respect to the component's content.
These additional settings are available on the Content tab of the Properties panel when the component is selected on the canvas.
Most of these settings allow you to use a static value, a value derived from a data service, a value from another component, or a value from the application itself as the Source for the setting. As well, they provide for a Display Value or Display Field.
Common Interaction settings
Interactions typically consist of trigger events and trigger actions. Both the trigger event and the trigger action depend primarily on what components are involved and what the interaction is designed to make happen.
See About Interactions.
Common Style settings
All basic components include a Visibility style setting that determines whether the component displays in the workspace. If you wish, you can make the Visibility setting conditional, by selecting the lock icon next to the basic setting switch.
See Setting conditional component visibility.
In addition to the setting for Visibility, each basic component in App Builder (except for the Flexbox) has an another setting for Margins. Most components also offer at least one additional Style setting.
These additional settings are available on the Style tab of the Properties panel when the component is selected on the canvas.
