Managing data services

App Builder uses data services to retrieve data from other sources, connect with other Infor products using ION APIs, and use Mongoose resources. These data services can be created or added either in the project itself or in the App Builder Repository.

The activities you can perform with data services differ slightly in the App Builder Repository and in App Builder projects. As well, the data services in the Repository and in your project are largely independent of each other, though you can move data services from one to the other.

Within your App Builder project, you can perform these activities with data services:

Create data services using the Wizard, using either ION APIs or Mongoose IDOs as the basis for the data service.
Import data services from the App Builder Repository.
Import data services from files.
Create data services by manual configuration.
Edit data services in the project.
Delete data services from the project.
Export data services to files.
Search Datagrids for specific records.
