About components
Basic components
Basic components are ready-to-use components that are included in App Builder. Some basic components are used to display data. Some basic components allow you to select options within them. Other basic components allow you to enter, modify, and delete data that can then be acted upon.
For each basic component, you can define user actions, triggers, styles, content, and—depending on the type of component—specific settings that you can control as the designer of the app.
Each basic component is considered either a "small" component or a "large" component. "Small" components are small enough in size that you can typically fit multiple small components into a single Flexbox. "Large" components are designed to occupy an entire Flexbox. In some cases, you can also place "small" components within certain "large" components.
Composite components
Composite components are more complex components that you create for your own use. These components typically include two or more basic components that you add to a single Flexbox component and then save as a composite component.
Once you have created and saved a composite component, it displays on the Composite component tab. You can then use it as you would any other component.
