Creating or adding a data service in a project

In App Builder, there are two possible starting points from which you can create or add a data service for a project: You can add it directly into your project, or you can add it first to the App Builder Repository and then import it from there into your project.

If you create the data service in your project, it is saved only as part of your project. If you later decide to put it into the App Builder Repository, you must first export it from your project as a file and then import that file into the Repository.

If you create the data service in the App Builder Repository, it is initially saved only to the Repository. If you then want to use it in your project, you can add it to your project directly from the Repository.
