Making or editing project settings

Typically, most project settings are made at the time you create the project. Some of these are created automatically, just in the process of creating the project. However, you might decide later you want to change one or more of the basic project settings. Use the Project Settings option on the "More" menu to make those changes.

To make or edit basic project settings, use this procedure:

  1. With your project open, select Project Settings from the "More" (•••) menu.
App Builder opens the Project Settings dialog box.
  2. In the Project Settings dialog box, change any or all of these options:
    Project Name
This is the name given to the project when it was created. It is the name that displays with the project in the Projects dashboard. You can change it however you want. End users of the app do not see this name.
    App Header Title
This is the text that displays in the title bar of the project.
    Description
This is the optional description provided when the project was first created (if any). Use this field to provide a brief description of what the app is designed to do, or to otherwise identify it.

This description appears only on the project panel in the Projects dashboard. It is not displayed to end users.

    Tags
This field displays any tags currently attached to the project, if any. You can use it to create and add tags.
    Version
By default, this field is set to 1.0. You can change it to whatever you want.
Note: This value does not update automatically. To reflect a new version of your app, you must change it manually. We recommend doing this as soon as possible after publishing and activating your app in the App Hub.

This version number displays in the App Administration page of the App Hub.

  3. When you have the settings the way you want them, click Save.
