Transfer Order Landed Costs

Use this form to allocate duty, freight, brokerage, insurance, and local freight for each transfer order line item. Although transfer orders essentially move material between locations of the same company, many companies require the ability to capture landed costs into inventory.

At the time of transfer order receipt, a transfer order receipt record will be created for the landed costs.

Note:  All Landed costs and freight expenses are vouchered separately from the transfer order. To generate vouchers for the landed cost receipts, go to the Generate Landed Cost Vouchers form.

On the Transfer Order Landed Costs form, you can enter the expected estimated amount for duty, freight, brokerage, insurance, and/or local freight. You can also enter the Allocation Type, Allocation Method or Allocation Percent for each of these landed cost types.

Actual landed cost amounts will be updated during vouchering and are view-only.

You can specify different allocation methods for each landed cost category. Each category will be consistently calculated within the transfer order.

Use the Actions menu to allocate landed costs.
