Destination

This field displays the destination type to which this job is cross-referenced. If you need to change this link, your choices are:

  • Inventory
  • Order
  • Transfer
  • Project
  • SRO

On the Job Orders form, this field is disabled if the destination type is 'project' and the project has incurred any job-related WIP.

If you change the cross-reference type, you must enter the ID of the demand order to which this job is linked in the unlabeled field to the right. For customer orders, this field is used along with the line to look up the Qty Ordered, Order Date and Due Date fields. It is also used to post the Ready to Ship field and for the Order Entry Cost Variance Report. If the job is created by cross-referencing from order entry, this field is automatically set to the corresponding order number. If created as a cross-referenced component of another job, Destination defaults to the setting on the parent job. See Order Number for more information. If the job is cross-referenced to a SRO, the unlabeled fields show the SRO number, SRO line, and SRO operation.

Note:  Cross referencing creates item jobs only and not Co-product jobs.
