Perform Global Plan

This field applies only to APS.

You can select this field only if you have sites defined on the APS Sites and Alternative Management form.

Select the field to generate a global plan across all sites in your multi-site environment. In sequence of site priority, APS contacts each site and regenerates the local plan. All remote sites must be defined on the APS Sites and Alternative Management form at this (local) site. APS removes and recalculates all planning information, creating or updating transfer supply and demand orders at each site. The local order priorities defined at each site determine how demands are satisfied at that site.

If you are running a global plan, the planner database at each site must be running. If APS cannot contact a site (for example, if the planner database is down or there is a network problem), it uses the remote item's lead time and transit time to plan the transfer supply orders for those items.
