Outstanding Requirement

Outstanding requirements consist of independent demand such as customer orders, forecasts and dependent demand such as parent jobs, planned orders or production schedules.

This column maintains the outstanding requirement quantity required by the associated reference using the following calculations:

CO = QO - QS, where

  • CO = Customer Orders
  • QO = Quantity Ordered
  • QS = Quantity Shipped

F = OQ - CCO, where

  • F = Forecast
  • OQ = Original Quantity
  • CCO = Consumption by Customer Order

PO = OSOQ, where

  • PO = Planned Orders
  • OSOQ = Original Suggested Order Quantity

J = QR - QI, where

  • J = Jobs
  • QR = Quantity Required
  • QI = Quantity Issued

QR = (QRE * QPU) / (1 - SF), where

  • QR = Quantity Required
  • QRE = Quantity Released
  • QPU = Quantity Per Unit
  • SF = Scrap Factor

PS = ((QRE - QCO) * QPU) / (1 - SF), where

  • PS = Production Schedule Release
  • QRE = Quantity Released
  • QCO = Quantity Complete on Operation
  • QPU = Quantity per Unit
  • SF = Scrap Factor

If the current item is reserved for customer orders, the outstanding requirements will be reduced by any reserved quantities.
