Location on Hand
Enter a beginning quantity on hand when adding a new stockroom location for an item. For existing locations, the quantity on hand displays.
The Delete Item Stockroom Locations utility deletes locations with quantities less than that specified in the On Hand field.
When creating a new location, you must fill in or select a location in the Location field. You can then set the initial quantity on hand in the Location On Hand field. If you enter a quantity other than zero, you must provide a reason code in the Reason field on the Material Transaction tab.
You can change the date if you wish. The reason code and date are used to create a material transaction record and to post a transaction to the IC journal.
