From Site
On the Transfer Orders form, enter or select the site from which you will transfer/move items or materials. The current site must be the From Site in order to ship.
Note: If the free
on board (FOB) site is the From Site, material is moved during shipment
to a transit location belonging to the To Site. Material cost is also
moved to the transit location. Landed cost will be capitalized only when
the item uses Standard costing and the FOB indicates the From Site. If
the FOB indicates the To Site, or if the item is using any of the Actual
costing methods, only material costs will be recorded at shipment.
On the Transfer Ship Packing Slip Selection form, the site from which items will be moved displays.
On the Material Transactions form, this field displays the From Site of the transfer order associated with the displayed transaction.
On the Transfer Order Receive and Combined Transfer Order Ship/Receive forms, this field also displays on the Pieces and Lot Attributes tabs.
