Efficiency Factor

This field applies to the Scheduler only.

Enter a value (greater than 0) to increase or decrease operation setup, move, run, and finish times for all operations during Scheduling. This number allows the Scheduler to globally reconcile discrepancies between standard times and actual times. During scheduling, the Scheduler divides operation setup and run times by the efficiency factor. If the value is greater than 1, operation time is decreased; if less than 1 (such as 0.9), operation time is increased; if equal to 1, there is no change.

The Efficiency Factor is applied to an operation after the operation's Efficiency value is applied. Think of Efficiency Factor as a global, facility-level modifier and the Efficiency field as an additional modifier for specific operations.

The default efficiency factor is 1 (no effect).

For example, if the operation's run time is 4 hours and Efficiency Factor is 0.9, the adjusted run time would be 4.44 hours (4.0 / 0.9).
