Dock-to-Stock Lead Time
This field applies to MRP and APS.
This is the number of days it takes to get the item into stock after the
purchased materials are received on the dock. Receiving inspection activity is the usual
reason for dock-to-stock planning. Use of this lead time is not recommended for
manufactured parts because scheduling logic does not consider dock-to-stock lead time.
Note: When you are using dock-to-stock, PO tolerances may be impacted by
holidays or non-working days other than weekends.
See Defining Lead Time for MRP Planning or Defining Lead Time for APS Planning for more information.
