Cost Item at Warehouse

Caution:

Once you select this field and save the record, it cannot be deselected. If you selected this field by mistake, either cancel the changes and reload the form, or close the form without saving your changes.

Select this box to track the cost of items at the item warehouse level instead of the item level. This decision has several implications:

Multi-site is no longer needed to track different costs for a single item.
Only one bill of material is supported per item. Therefore, the Current Operations and Current Materials forms are associated with the default warehouse only.
Manufactured items, which accumulate costs from their sub-components, will gather those costs from the default warehouse only, regardless of the item manufactured items' location.
The Item Costs form will no longer be accessible. Use the Item Warehouse Costs form instead.
Existing LIFO/FIFO stacks will be proportionally divided out based on item/warehouse quantities. See How LIFO/FIFO Stacks Function When Using Item/Warehouse Costing for more information
