Default description for documents

Documents that are added with SyteLine document types, either manually or through auto-generation, use this format for the document's Description attribute: {id1}_{Entity_Type}, where {id1} is the number of the currently selected record.

For example, if you are viewing PO #110675 on the Purchase Orders form, and you add a document in the Related Information context app, the new document's description by default will be 110675_InforPurchaseOrder.

You can only change the default description for the document from within the Document Management application.
