Journal Entry Builder widget

View, edit and post journal entries for the general or user-defined journals. This widget includes a subset of the fields and tasks you can use on the Journal Entries form, but it functions the same way. If G/L vouchering is enabled in the ERP, you cannot modify journal entries in this widget. To delete journal entries, use the Journal Entries form.

Select a journal to lock it and display a brief description of each journal entry. If you select a different journal, the previous journal is unlocked.

Options on this widget:

  • Click the arrow button on an entry to show or hide detailed information for the journal entry.
  • Click New to add a new journal entry.
  • Click Save to save your changes.
  • Click Refresh to undo changes to an existing entry or cancel creation of a new entry.

  • Click Post Journal to display fields related to posting, including a Print/Commit option and Process button. Click the Back button to either cancel posting or return after you complete posting.

  • Click Unlock to unlock the selected journal and remove it from the drop-down list.
