Setting up accounting for France

The principles of SyteLine accounting are based on the adoption of a general chart of accounts (PCG) and an analytical chart of accounts (PCA). In a French system, these two charts of accounts complement each other to provide a comprehensive accounting view of the company.

As an example, these types of SyteLine processes use the general chart of accounts and these journals:

Process Journal
Accounts payable AP Dist
Accounts receivable AR Dist
Bank revaluation BNK Dist
Fixed asset amortization FA Dist
Manual journal entries General
Multi-site entries Multi-Site

As an example, these types of SyteLine processes use the analytical chart of accounts and these journals:

Process Journal
Customer orders CO Dist
Purchase orders PO Dist
Inventory control IC Dist

If users make changes to the Chart of Accounts after it it is initially configured, the changes must be logged for later auditing. See About the JET report.
