Tax ID format
Each country has a specific format for tax identification numbers.
Countries in the same region, such as the European Union (EU), may have similar
formats.
France specifics
The numéro de TVA intracommunautaire is issued to companies and individuals that provide services or sell goods and products.
A TVA number is required above a certain threshold of income and is optional below that threshold. In France, the number is 13 characters:
- The two-character country code (FR)
- A two-digit, data-processing code
- The SIREN number, described in Company ID format
The TVA number must be quoted on all invoices that are issued by a TVA-registered business.
How Infor meets this requirement
Tax identification numbers can be specified for the company and its customers and vendors.
Set up the Tax ID on the General Parameters form. Then set up customer and vendor tax IDs on the Customers, Customer Ship-Tos and Vendors forms.
