Setting up the analytical chart of accounts (PCA) for France

French accounting also requires an analytical chart of accounts, or Plan Comptable Analytique (PCA). Your company can use the PCA to record analysis postings, so you can monitor various business processes from an accounting point of view.

A PCA-compliant chart of accounts is provided for the France implementation, as an importable spreadsheet with examples and explanations. See KB article 2154629 on the Infor Support Portal.

In order to configure the PCA, these prerequisites must be set on the General Parameters form:

  • Post to Journal
  • Use Analytical Ledger

Use the Chart of Accounts form to create and maintain the analytical chart of accounts. The use of the various fields on the form for PCA are described in this topic.

Account

The first 2 characters of the account code must be numeric and between 90 and 99, to ensure that automatic processes do not produce non-compliant entries.

Class 90 is not used by the Infor Chart of Accounts, so it is available for your company's use.

Account Type

The type of an analytical account must always be set to Analytical.

Unit Code

Access to Unit Code 4 must be set to Required for accounts that start with 94, 96, or 98.

Except in exceptional cases, other accounts must not allow access to Unit Code 4. Otherwise, the inventory variation will be distorted.
