Disposal Posting
Use this form to post fixed asset disposals and distributions. You access this form by selecting on the Fixed Asset Disposal or Fixed Asset Disposal Distribution form.
When you post disposals, these things happen:
- Disposal transactions are posted to the Fixed Asset Distribution journal for each distribution.
- The status of each processed asset is changed from Active to Disposed.
- The Disposal Date and Amount fields from the Disposal record are copied to the Asset record.
This process also produces the Fixed Assets Disposal Transaction Report so that you can verify the disposal transactions before actually posting them.
